Approval Delegation
Keep approvals moving by delegating approval responsibilities when team members are unavailable
We’ve introduced Approval Delegation, a new feature that allows designated approvers for Spend Requisitions and Contract Approvals to nominate trusted team members to manage approvals on their behalf when they are unavailable. Whether someone is on leave, traveling, or temporarily offline, approvals can continue without interruption so projects keep moving forward.
Why we built it
Approvals are a critical part of managing contractor engagements and spend. When key approvers are unavailable, approval requests can slow down workflows and delay important decisions.
Approval Delegation helps teams maintain momentum even when approvers are out of office. By allowing trusted colleagues to step in when needed, organizations can maintain clear oversight while keeping approval processes efficient and reliable.

How it works
When an approver expects to be unavailable, they can assign a delegate to temporarily manage approval requests. The delegation can begin immediately or start at a scheduled date and time. Once active, the delegate will receive approval requests and can review and take action directly within the platform.
This ensures approval workflows remain smooth and transparent, with clear communication across all stakeholders involved in the process.

Availability
Approval Delegation is available for clients using Spend Requisitions and/or Contract Approvals on YunoJuno. If one or both approval workflows are enabled at a client level, approvers can begin using delegation to manage absences and keep approvals moving.
