New ratings system: Making freelancer selection easier

Make smarter hiring decisions with trusted freelancer reviews

We’ve launched a new ratings and reviews system on YunoJuno to bring greater transparency and insight to the hiring process. You can now rate your engagements with freelancers, and those ratings are displayed directly on their Marketplace profile - helping others assess fit and quality at a glance.

When hiring, you no longer have to rely solely on portfolios or role titles. With this feature, you can see what others thought of a freelancer’s work, communication, and professionalism before you commit.

Ratings on both sides

After each project, both clients and freelancers are prompted to leave feedback:

  • Clients rate freelancers across key dimensions, including quality of work and collaboration.
  • Freelancers can also rate clients to help improve the experience on both sides of the Marketplace.
  • Ratings appear in search results, making it easy to compare talent at a glance.
  • Detailed reviews are visible on freelancer profiles, offering deeper insight into past performance.

This system gives clients a richer picture of who they’re hiring, and gives freelancers the recognition they deserve for doing great work.

How this feature delivers value

1) Better hiring decisions from authentic feedback that helps you find talent that aligns with your expectations and project needs.

2) Faster shortlisting from a quick view of search results ratings, making it easy to identify top-performing freelancers without deep-diving into every profile.

3) More trust, less risk with reviews providing added confidence, especially when hiring across unfamiliar skill sets or regions.

4) Freelancers get recognition with great work now being more visible, helping build reputation and secure future work.
