The 2025 Freelancer Rates Report: Essential industry insights

Released on February 6th, our 2025 Freelancer Rates Report revealed key trends from over 261,000+ freelance contracts across 15 disciplines. Highlights include:

  • 3% YoY increase in average day rates, now at £390/day
  • Top-paid skills: UX Design, Machine Learning, and Art Direction
  • Strategy professionals led with £520/day on average
  • Top 10% of freelancers earn approximately £708/day, up 9% YoY
  • Contract length dipped slightly to 23 working days
