2019 was a great year for the YunoJuno Community. Not only did we launch YJ Manchester, we also hit a record number of events, with at least one a month. It was great to meet more of the community and for the community more opportunities to meet each other - whether it be a purely social event or one based around freelancer specific issues such as IR35.

Here’s just a few of our get-togethers...

Social Meet up

Freelancer Finances

Starting out can be an exciting time, with new business meetings, new work and networking. Understanding finances is the last thing on many freelancers minds, but is the most important to ensure success.

We hosted events to help uncover the key financial terms to understand and the impending IR35 legislation and advise on how freelancers can prepare for its introduction.

Meet up

YJ Socials

Hosted across London and Manchester, we arranged some socials to enable our community to get together to share tips, meet new people within their field, but more importantly, to do battle on the oche over supercharged versions of the traditional games such as Killer, Snakes & Ladders and Demolition.

Sweet FA19 Blog Post

Sweet FA/19

We couldn't have a post about YJ Community Events without mentioning the biggest event of them all. The 2019 Freelancer Awards was the most attended Sweet FA’s yet. 750 attendees and one incredible night at Shoreditch Town Hall. Read and watch more about it here.
